About the Bible

The Bible is the infallible Word of God and the authority for Salvation and Holy Christian living. (See II Timothy 3:15-17.)

About God

We believe the bible teaches that there is one God, who has manifested or made known himself as our Father, who has manifested himself in His Son Jesus Christ, and as the Holy Spirit. Jesus Christ is God manifested in flesh. He is both God and man fused together but not confused together (See Deuteronomy 6:4; Ephesians 4:4-6; Colossians 2:9; I Timothy 3:16.)

About Sin and Salvation

We believe the bible teaches that all have sinned and come short of the glory of God and all are in need of deliverance or salvation. We believe Salvation is the gift of God by grace through faith in Jesus Christ and him alone. (See Romans 3:23-25; 6:23; Ephesians 2:8-9.)

About the Gospel

We believe that the bible teaches us that Jesus died for our sins, was buried, and rose again on the third day. We obey the gospel (II Thessalonians 1:8; I Peter 4:17) by repentance (death to sin), water baptism in the name of Jesus Christ (burial), and the baptism of the Holy Spirit with the initial sign of speaking in tongues as the Spirit gives the utterance (resurrection). (See I Corinthians 15:1-4; Acts 2:4, 37-39; Romans 6:3-4.)

About Baptism

We believe the bible teaches that the command of baptism in the NAME of the Father, and of the Son and of the Holy Ghost as stated in Matthew 28:19 is first carried out in Acts 2:38 using the proper and singular name that denotes Father, Son and Holy Ghost and that singular NAME is Jesus. Thus, in accordance with Acts 8:16, Acts 10: 44-48, Acts 19: 1-5 and Acts 22:16 is the fulfilment of using the NAME.

The Greek word for “baptism” is “βαπτιζω". The English letters look like this: "baptidzo.". The Greek word "baptidzo" literally means to “dip” or to “immerse” not sprinkle.

About Christian Living

We believe the bible teaches that we should live a holy life inwardly and outwardly. Holiness defined in the highest sense means belonging to God ( Isaiah 6:3 ; Revelation 15:4 ), and as Christians consecrated or separated to and for God's service, and are conformed in all things to the will of God ( Romans 6:19 Romans 6:22 ; Ephesians 1:4 ; Titus 1:8 ; 1 Peter 1:15 ). Holiness is a work of the Spirit and must be more than a change of outward appearance but a change of the inward heart. It is carried on under many hindrances, hence the word of God warns us to watchfulness, prayerful, and have perseverance ( 1 Corinthians 1:30 ; 2 Corinthians 7:1 ; Ephesians 4:23 Ephesians 4:24 ). We believe the bible teaches that true worshipers of God, must worship him in spirit and in truth.
